Certain initiatives possess a cross-sectoral nature and, due to their critical role in shaping social, cultural, or knowledge infrastructures, are supported as an independent focus area.
In this context, we support initiatives that promote public awareness, advance social discourse, foster scientific capacity, and contribute to crisis response and resilience.
These projects complement our core mission areas and are designed to strengthen knowledge-based foundations, encourage social synergy, and amplify long-term, sustainable impact.

Producing scientific content on Iran’s social conditions.
Project Description:
Following the publication of the first and second reports on Iran’s social conditions by Rahman Institute, the third edition is now being developed.
This report will focus on social gaps and social cohesion as two critical and sensitive concepts. In the current social landscape of Iran, disparities in various domains—including wealth and income, education, healthcare, housing, and civil rights—have exacerbated social conflicts and reduced national cohesion, posing significant challenges to the country’s development.
By centering on the concept of social gaps, the third report aims to provide in-depth analyses of social inequalities and their impact on fostering or weakening social cohesion. Through research articles and data-driven analyses, the report seeks to highlight the crucial role of inequality in shaping social solidarity and national unity.
