Training Facilitators for Children and Adolescents (Toward Social and Financial Empowerment)

Project Objective:
Providing balanced social and financial education to teachers and facilitators in the field of education.

Geographic Scope:

Tehran, South Khorasan, and Khuzestan Provinces

Project Description:

This initiative is designed to offer balanced social and financial education to teachers and facilitators working in the education sector. The Amal program aims to support teachers and instructors in fostering educational growth and participatory learning. The core components of the training workshops include participatory teaching methods, active learning, learning by doing, action-based learning, and play-based learning.

During the workshops, participants are introduced to these approaches and foundational concepts of balanced social and financial education, and are invited to embark on a journey with Amal Institute to integrate these methods into their classroom practices.

Project Objective:

Project Description:
This project aims to enhance the quality of education for students by organizing training courses for Orfak teachers and facilitating the transition of volunteer teachers into committed staff members. The initiative focuses on empowering teachers through the implementation of the “Rooidani Curriculum” (inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach), encouraging interactive and participatory learning methods.
Teachers are trained to engage working children in the learning process and adapt educational content to suit their specific needs and circumstances.

Comprehensive Participatory Learning Program for Sustainable Livelihood Facilitators

Project Objective:
Capacity building of facilitators and local CSOs in implementing structured community development projects with an emphasis on community-based approaches, empowerment, facilitation, and achieving tangible impact in central regions of Sistan and Baluchestan Province—particularly through replicating the “Hoda House” model.

Project Description:
The Comprehensive Participatory Learning Program for Local Sustainable Livelihood Facilitators in Sistan and Baluchestan Province was implemented by the Women and Youth Entrepreneurship Development Foundation with financial support from Navid Institute.
The program included 100 hours of training for 30 local participants interested in facilitation and community development in the central region of the province. The primary goal was to enhance the skills of local facilitators in executing development projects focused on strengthening the economic and social structures of local communities.

The training also emphasized the formation and stabilization of self-help groups and local microcredit funds. These facilitators are now positioned to act as agents of change—contributing to improved livelihoods and economic empowerment by driving locally led development processes.

Project Objective:
Providing access to education for school dropouts and out-of-school children — including children in underserved areas, working children, and children with physical disabilities.

Promoting gender equality in education — especially in areas where girls are unable to continue schooling beyond primary education due to cultural limitations.

Creating opportunities for children of immigrant and refugee communities to continue their secondary education (both lower and upper secondary levels).

Project Description:

The “Bia Biamozim” project was launched in 2017 with the aim of promoting educational equity through online platforms. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it expanded to provide educational content to upper secondary students.
Subsequently, the project moved toward becoming a formal virtual school, aiming to reintegrate out-of-school children—including children from immigrant communities and working students—into the education system.

Equal Educational Opportunities for Children with Disabilities

Project Objective:
Providing equal access to education for children with disabilities and reducing their segregation in the school system.

Geographic Scope:
Tehran Province

Project Description:
This project was developed to promote inclusive education and shift perceptions in mainstream schools toward students with disabilities. The initiative addresses key challenges such as the lack of physical accessibility in schools, limited social acceptance, and the systemic segregation of students with disabilities—all of which contribute to social exclusion and hinder their personal development.

Raad Charity implements a range of activities in this project, including training school staff, raising awareness among families, and supporting the physical adaptation of school environments. These efforts aim to facilitate the inclusion of students with disabilities in regular schools, enhance their independence, and promote their empowerment through equitable access to education.

Project Objective:
Empowering out-of-school children by providing basic education and promoting reading culture among children.

Geographic Scope:
Southeastern districts of Tehran Province (with a focus on Ghaniabad)

 

Project Description:
The Pouyesh Association for the Advancement of Children is implementing a child and family empowerment initiative aimed at restoring the lost rights of children in southeastern Tehran.
The project includes foundational education and empowerment courses for out-of-school children—especially working children and children from Afghan refugee communities.
It also involves adult literacy programs for parents and skill-building workshops to enhance the capacities of both children and their families, fostering a more supportive and inclusive environment for their development.

National Capacity Building and Synergy Program for Charitable Organizations and NGOs

Project Objective:
Enhancing leadership and management capacities in charitable organizations across the country.

Geographic Scope:
Nationwide (all provinces of Iran)

Project Description:
This national capacity-building and synergy program is designed to strengthen the technical knowledge and practical skills of professionals working in charitable organizations and NGOs across the country.
The initiative involves top-tier instructors traveling to all provinces of Iran to deliver training sessions aimed at empowering charity managers and civil society actors.

As part of the project, 31 one-day training workshops will be held for charity organization managers in each of Iran’s 31 provinces over the course of one year.
These workshops are organized in collaboration with the Public Participation Division of the Organization for Social Affairs and are implemented through the provincial governorates.

Transportation Support for Persons with Disabilities and Out-of-School Girls

Project Objective:
Providing safe and sustainable transportation for the beneficiaries of Avaye Roshanai Charity in Chabahar.

Geographic Scope:
Chabahar County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province

Project Description:
This project is designed to facilitate safe and reliable transportation for beneficiaries—particularly individuals with visual impairments—from marginalized neighborhoods of Chabahar (including Moradabad, Nokabad, Komb, and Mirabad) to educational and vocational training centers.

The initiative supports:
• ۲۰ out-of-school girls and 10 persons with disabilities to participate in literacy programs
• ۷ female-headed households and 8 persons with disabilities to attend vocational training classes such as sewing, embroidery, and traditional Zoh-doozi crafts

The Karyar initiative aims to foster economic development by empowering underprivileged youth from disadvantaged areas through practical, coding-focused education.
By enhancing technical capabilities and job-readiness, the program seeks to increase access to sustainable employment opportunities in the digital economy.

Work-Based Learning Program in Vocational High Schools

Project Objective:
The main goal of the “Work-Based Learning” project is to enhance students’ technical and vocational skills. This initiative aims to address the gap in practical competencies among students and ultimately contribute to reducing unemployment.

Geographic Scope:
South Khorasan Province

Project Description:
The “Work-Based Learning” initiative focuses on equipping vocational school workshops in underserved areas, creating hands-on training environments where students can gain practical experience and better prepare for entry into the labor market.

Through this project, female students in fashion design and garment tailoring programs in South Khorasan Province receive advanced skill training to help them transition into employment opportunities after completing their formal education.

The Boom Digital Library Platform is designed to enhance access to high-quality literary resources for students and children. It aims to bridge the gap in access to quality books by offering an engaging and enriching reading experience.

Key activities of the Boom Library include the production and localization of content that reflects the cultural and linguistic diversity of Iranian children, expanding access to reading materials in underserved areas, and promoting a culture of reading among children. The platform is adapted to meet the learning needs of children across various cultural and regional backgrounds, supporting both educational development and the joy of reading.

Project Description:
This project was implemented in collaboration with the Volunteers Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, with the aim of improving the organizational preparedness of NGOs during natural disasters and enhancing the Red Crescent’s social capital among NGOs and the broader public.
The training sought to promote better coordination and resilience by equipping civil society organizations with the skills and frameworks needed for effective response and community engagement.

Empowerment Program for Individuals with Visual Impairments

Project Objective:
Enhancing independence, social participation, and quality of life for blind and visually impaired individuals through empowerment, education, and reduction of discrimination.

Geographic Scope:
Nationwide (project implementation in Kashan County, Isfahan Province)

Project Description:
This empowerment initiative for individuals with visual impairments, including a Training of Trainers (TOT) component, is a comprehensive intervention that offers a wide range of rehabilitation services—many of which are typically inaccessible to blind and visually impaired individuals.
The project gives special priority to marginalized groups experiencing multiple layers of deprivation. It is currently being implemented in Kashan County, Isfahan Province, and aims to improve the inclusion and autonomy of people with visual disabilities by strengthening local service capacity.

Project Description:
In line with its commitment to strengthening leadership skills and effective communication within the organization, Danesh Foundation implemented a training program based on the “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” in collaboration with ILIYA Management Consulting.

The program combined theoretical and practical training components. In addition to classroom sessions, coaching and mentoring techniques were employed to support the practical application of key concepts in the workplace and to foster leadership effectiveness across the foundation’s network.

Educational Conference of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents

Project Objective:
Empowering selected members of the Institute by enhancing their social engagement skills, awareness of rights and responsibilities, and capacity for civic participation.

Geographic Scope:
Chalous County, Mazandaran Province

Project Description:
This project supported the closing ceremony of the first regional “Kanoon-Yaran” conference, organized by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents. The event brought together 52 selected members (“Kanoon-Yars”) from cultural and artistic centers in the provinces of Qazvin, Ardabil, Gilan, Zanjan, West Azerbaijan, and East Azerbaijan (Region 1 provinces), along with their mentors.

The three-day conference was held at the Delgosha Camp in Chalous and focused on enhancing youth participation and fostering a deeper understanding of civic roles and responsibilities.
