Collaboration Between Navid Institute and Digikala Mehr to Develop the Philanthropy Ecosystem

Addressing complex social challenges requires synergy among different sectors of society. In this regard,  Navid Institute and the Corporate Social Responsibility division of Digikala (Digikala Mehr) have initiated a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing the impact of the country’s philanthropy ecosystem, increasing transparency in charitable processes, and strengthening the capacity of non-governmental organizations.

Purposeful Development of the Philanthropy Ecosystem

With the goal of fostering a sustainable and effective philanthropy ecosystem in the country, Navid Institute has focused on impact assessment, knowledge sharing, and experience transfer, while Digikala Mehr provides digital, logistical, and media infrastructure. Together, they present a collaborative model between the private sector and social organizations. This partnership model can serve as a catalyst for expanding similar collaborations and improving crowdfunding and social project financing processes.

Navid Institute believes that this joint initiative will create new pathways to facilitate cross-sector collaboration and contribute to the following social impacts:

• Increasing access for charities and NGOs to essential resources and support

• Enhancing public trust and participation in philanthropic activities

• Strengthening the role of private companies in corporate social responsibility

A Framework for Cross-Referral Between Charities and NGOs

One of the key outcomes of this collaboration is the development and implementation of a joint assessment framework for selecting and supporting transparent and effective non-profit organizations. Under this framework:

• Organizations referred from Digikala Mehr to Navid Institute will be considered for financial support for social projects and organizational capacity development.

• Likewise, charities and NGOs introduced by Navid Institute to Digikala Mehr will be eligible for product-based crowdfunding services and access to Digikala’s logistics infrastructure.

This framework is built upon four key pillars:

  1. ۱- Social Mission – Ensuring the organization’s goals and activities align with real societal needs.

  2. ۲- Organizational Capacity – Evaluating institutional capabilities, resource management, and organizational sustainability.

  3. ۳-Transparency & Reporting – Ensuring accurate and transparent reporting to stakeholders.

  4. ۴- Reputation & Trustworthiness – Reviewing the organization’s track record and public trust levels.

This comprehensive approach establishes clear and standardized criteria for evaluating and supporting charities, fostering greater trust between the community and philanthropic organizations.
