This report has been developed to address the following question:

“Can businesses take a more effective approach to economic, social, and environmental responsibilities while also pursuing their own interests?”

By analyzing key narratives and the most impactful CSR initiatives undertaken by Iranian businesses, this report aims to inspire other companies to enhance their social impact while maintaining economic sustainability.

Target Audience of This Study

The primary audience of this report consists of businesses and economic enterprises. However, it is also recommended for other key players in this ecosystem, including social enterprises, community-based businesses, charitable organizations, impact-driven investors, and even social policymakers.

Given the complexity and scale of these challenges, meaningful intervention and impact in this domain can only be achieved through the collaboration of multiple stakeholders across the ecosystem.

Selection Criteria for Case Studies in This Report

This report aims to highlight experiences where a clear rationale for designing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities exists and where the initiatives have the potential for scalability and replication.

Accordingly, the study examines the CSR experiences of Irancell, Nestlé, Baran Group, Firoozeh Financial Group, Divar, Digikala, Hyperstar, and Nikan Mammut Charity.

Ultimately, the analysis of these successful cases demonstrates that aligning CSR activities with a company’s core mission can enhance both the social impact and business benefits of these initiatives.
